MarkLogic is Big Data Analytics software that works as an operational and transactional enterprise NoSQL database that integrates multiple data sources such as relational databases, mainframes, Hadoop and file systems, and any other relevant data source. The platform is designed to ingest data as is without implementing predefined schemas or complex ETL, utilizes a flexible, multi-model approach, and is capable of handling any data source.

The software indexes all data on load including JSON, XML, and text, and enables users to submit system queries in receive answers in real-time through a Google-like database search engine. Additionally, the platform ensures that all data and multi-document transactions are ACID compliant, and provides users with automatic out-of-the-box failover, replication, and backup and recovery capabilities.
