While BlackBerry devices seem to be the go-to for business users, there is potential in the Android market. Android seems to be on the rise lately as it has become the number-one competitor for the iPhone. Android is increasing their security and they are offering many new business applications. Android is not on a closed network, unlike the iPhone.
So if you are a business user or a company looking for a phone for your employees, the Android is a worthy option. The real question is- which Android is best?
Let’s take a look at three Android phones: the Motorola Droid, the Google Nexus One, and the HTC Incredible Droid.
Motorola Droid ($199 with Verizon Contract)
The Motorola Droid has many innovative features that make it a solid option. It has Google Search by Voice, high-speed mobile browsing, and the ability to run multiple applications. It also has a keyboard, which for some users can be easier than a touch-screen. The call quality is high, which is a necessary feature for business users who need to regularly call clients.
The Motorola Droid has one of the longest talk times for Droid smartphones. It can be used for 385 minutes and it can be on standby for 270 hours. The Droid also offers 16 GB of internal memory.

Google Nexus One ($530 Unlocked, $180 with T-Mobile)
The Google Nexus One runs on Android 2.2, which is higher than both the Incredible and the Droid. Adobe launched Flash Player 10.1 for Android today, which can only run on Android 2.2. The Nexus one can transcribe voice to text which is very handy for business users who are on-the-go. It has noise-canceling dual microphones and GPS with voice directions.
The Google Nexus One is available without a contract, so users from any network can buy it. Google does have a deal with T-Mobile for a cheaper price with contract.
The camera is not as good as the other Droid phones, but most business users do not need the camera feature anyway.

The Droid Incredible has the 1GHz Snapdragon processor with makes the phone faster and have a longer battery life. Its revamped sense interface offers a feature named Leap which allows multitasking. Users can run multiple applications at once, which is useful for busy employees.
The Droid Incredible has an optical trackpad instead of a physical trackball, which makes it easier to use for many individuals. It also has Wi-Fi and GPS, which is helpful for business workers who travel. It runs Google Android 2.1, which is more advanced than the 2.0 that the Motorola Droid runs.
HTC Droid Incredible
Overall, the Droid has the longest talk time, the Google Nexus One has the latest Flash Player, and the Incredible has an easy-to-use interface. Each one has its strengths but what it really comes down to is the business users’ specific needs and style preferences.
